Closed Trails and Areas at DuPont State Recreational Forest

As of Friday, April 25, forest officials at DuPont State Recreational Forest have closed the restrooms and visitor center in the High Falls Access Area due to a water main break. The closure is expected to remain in place for at least a week while repairs are made and until service is restored. The closest restrooms to the High Falls Access Area are in the Hooker Falls Access Area.

Additionally, forest officials at DuPont State Recreational Forest have postponed scheduled parking lot maintenance for the High Falls, Hooker Falls and Guion Farm access areas. Additional information will be provided once available.

Beginning March 3, Burnt Mountain Trail in DuPont State Recreational Forest will be closed to all visitors. This closure is necessary in the interest of public safety while improvements are made to the entire trail. This scheduled work will improve trail sustainability, reduce erosion and protect water quality of nearby creeks and streams. This closure is expected to remain in place until April 30.
